SHK Residents Must Take Responsibility For Trash

Sihanoukville – A pile of rubbish next to the post office fence in front of Phsar Leu in Preah Sihanouk province has been cleared by the Sihanoukville authorities in collaboration with a garbage disposal company.

According to city officials, the rubbish heap was started by one citizen dumping one bag of waste, and quickly escalated as more piled trash on top.

Authorities are continuing to clean it up. According to an official, without the participation of all people to dispose of waste correctly, the issue of anarchic rubbish disposal can not be solved. SOURCE: Huy Bunleng
