Rain and Flash Flood Warnings for North

PHNOM PENH – The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology on the afternoon of September 21, 2019 has warned of heavy rainfall in provinces near the Thai and Lao borders.

According to the Ministry of Water Resources, under the current conditions, the Low Pressure System (ITCZ) is located above the provinces on the border of Laos and Thailand.

This can cause prolonged heavy rains, with possibilities of flash floods. The most vulnerable provinces are Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri, Stung Treng, Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang and Kampong Thom.
