Phnom Penh: On September 19, 2019 an anti-human trafficking and juvenile protection case referred 3 male to the court of first instance on charges under Article 25 of the Law on the Suppression of Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation, 2008.
The accused men are: Theang Chanthen, a 21-year-old, Vorn Sarom, also 21, and Soeung Tan, a 28 year old.
At 9:30 pm on September 16, 2019, police at the Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Bureau detained 37 people in connection with the case.
The operation took place at the Orchida’s Massage Shop, # C14, St. 1986, Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmey, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
According to the police, the massage shop is open 24 hours with 23 massage therapists, two of whom are suspected to be minors between the ages of 16 and 17.
The business had 27 massage rooms available for massage and sex. Prices ranged from $ 30 to $ 50.
After interrogation, those who are not involved with criminal activity were allowed to return home. Some of the massage therapists were sent by the police to the Phnom Penh Department of Social Affairs. AREY NEWS
