1980’s War/Refugee Photos

Photos mostly from the Thai border area during the 1980’s during what is referred to by western historians as the Cambodian-Vietnamese war, which lasted 10 years, 9 months and 1 day (1978-1989).

The conflict resulted in 200,000+ Cambodian civilians killed (excluding deaths from famine) and around 50,000 Vietnamese troops by the time Vietnamese troops withdrew on 26 September 1989.
