Hunter Caught With Stew, Meat and AK

Mondulkiri: One suspect was arrested by Phnom Penh Wildlife Sanctuary rangers in cooperation with commune police police station at his home in connection with illegal hunting.

The incident took place on the morning of September 14, 2019 at the suspect’s house located in Puol village, Meung commune, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province.

The arrested suspect, known as Deng Han, is an Pnong male.

Exhibits taken include:
1. 1 automatic rifle and 9 ammunition.
2. 30 kg of fresh bush meat
1 pot of poacher’s stew
2 types of homemade weapons

Experts are now questioning the suspects to build a case and are looking for accomplices to be prosecuted under the law. NKD
