Phnom Penh: At the National Council for Minimum Wage Meeting in 2020, representatives from unions, employers and Labour Ministry, union representatives have opened the discussions by asking for $ 199 per month, while employers have set $ 184 as their figure.
Although union demands and employer offers remain $ 15 apart, this is normal, and as negotiations continue over a series of meetings, the numbers are expected to move closer to each other.
A ministry spokesman congratulated both sides for the professional conduct laid out in the meeting.
