Breaking News: Big Fire in Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh: Reports are coming in of a huge blaze.

UPDATE: 8.15 pm: Reports that a the whole main building(s) are in danger of a total collapse.

UPDATE: 8.05 pm: Firefighters still tackling the blaze which continues.

UPDATE: 7.30 pm: Flames back again when fire trucks stop to take on more water.

UPDATE: 6.45 pm: Flames appear to be out, but still plenty of smoke. State of building(s) unknown.

UPDATE: 5.40 pm: Building(s) have collapsed, fire still raging.

UPDATE: People in the immediate area have been evacuated.

UPDATE: At 4 pm the fire had spread significantly and was not yet under control. There are warnings that the building(s) are in danger of collapsing.

UPDATE: At 2 pm, reports say the fire has spread to other buildings and fire crews are on the scene.

UPDATE: At 1:30 pm on August 23, 2019, a fire was reported in a factory in Chamroeun Phal Village, Sangkat Boeng Tum I, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.
