Chinese Attacks Khmer Female Translator

 

Kandal province: A Chinese man, called a Chinese man and female Khmer translator into a room and attacked them with a knife. The incident happened on August 10, 2019 at 11:30 pm in the suspects’ dormitory on a construction site in Prek Seung village, Sampov Pou commune, Koh Thom district, Kandal province.

The suspect, named Zhang Chhin Lang (also called Chin Chen Lan) is a 42-year-old Chinese construction worker, in Prek Seung village, Sampov Pou commune, Koh Thom district, Kandal province. The two victims were Kim Seang, a 30-year-old Cambodian-Chinese translator, and another unknown Chinese person.

The source said that the Chinese suspect frequently harassed the workers on their construction site for unknown reasons. On August 10, 2019, the suspect called the victims into his dorm room. After entering the room, the suspect closed the door and slashed the Chinese victim, causing serious injuries. He then slashed and punched the Khmer woman, injuring her face and body.

The victim filed a complaint to the Sampov police station for legal action. Immediately after receiving the complaint, the police detained the suspect, on August 12, 2019 and send him to the district police headquarters for further action. Arey
