More Rain On The Way- Ministry

Phnom Penh – The  Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued a new weather warning in Cambodia from August 10-16, 2019, stating that the influence of storms and the southwest monsoon will bring more heavy rain to the coastal area, especially the provinces Sihanoukville and Koh Kong, as well as the border provinces of Vietnam.

The Ministry of Water Resources highlighted Cambodia’s climate issues from August 10-16.

1:  The coastal provinces, especially Koh Kong and Sihanoukville, will continue to experience heavy rainfall. There will be rain, strong winds and high waves.

2.  Kampong Thom, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Prey Veng, Svay Rieng, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmum, Mondulkiri, Kratie, Stung Treng and Ratanakiri will receive moderate to heavy rainfall.

3:  Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, Battambang, Pailin, Banteay Meanchey and Oddar Meanchey will have low to moderate rainfall.

4:  Kampong Speu, Takeo, Kandal, and Phnom Penh will have moderate rainfall.

At the same time, the ministry called on people to continue to pay more attention to rain-prone areas and high waves.
