Sihanoukville Struggles With Downpours

Sihanoukville: From yesterday night to 7:00 am on August 5, 2019, as much as 165 mm of rain fell (*unconfirmed), causing flooding in Sangkat 3 and Sangkat 4.

Streets were deluged and people’s homes and property were damaged.

Meanwhile traffic congestion brought chaos to the roads.

The Stung Samrong Bridge PK116 on National Road 4 is also at risk of flooding, with the water levels 1 metre away from danger levels.
