Kampong Cham: A heavy goods truck hit 5 schoolgirls at 3:20 pm on July 26, 2019 on National Road 7 in Trakuon village, Krala district. Kampong Siem district, Kampong Cham province.
The truck driver, a 24 year old, residing in Toul Poula village, Sralu commune, Baray district, Kampong Thom hit the girls who were on three bicycles coming home from school:
1 – Meng Huoy, 15, female
2 – Ron Theara, 15,
3 – Peng Maria Female 16 years old
4 – Peng Sopheang, female, 16 years old
5 – Namopin, female, 17 years old,
At least two of the girls have died of their injuries, the others are in a serious condition. The driver tested positive for alcohol.
