Thai Forces Shoot Border Hopper In Buttocks

Preah Vihear: A migrant worker who illegally crossed into Thailand was shot by Thai authorities.

The incident happened at 3:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2019, at a remote mountain point in Chom Kasan district, Preah Vihear province.

According to news reports, the victim was identified as Jum Long, a 26-year-old male, who was shot by either a Thai police officer or soldier, in the left buttock.

According to the source, the victim was taken by family members to hospital.

Shootings of Cambodians by Thai forces are common in border areas.
