Phnom Penh: Two Indians went to immigration in Phnom Penh on July 25, 2019, at 9:30 am, asking for the authorities to send them back to their country. Neither had a valid passport, visa and cannot afford to pay.
The first foreigner, named only as GEORGE, came to the Kingdom of Cambodia on 16.03.2019 at Phnom Penh International Airport as a tourist. During his stay at LONG ING guesthouse in Cambodia, his passport was lost in May 2019 and he had no accommodation. His visa expired on 16.05.2019 and without being able to afford accommodation, has resorted to sleeping on the streets.
2. JAGTAR SINGH, male 40 years old, arrived on 05.02.2018 at Siem Reap International Airport. During his stay in Cambodia, he stayed at AUNTY guesthouse (in Siem Reap). His passport was lost in May 2018, and his visa expired. He traveled from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh on July 1, 2019. He too had been staying on the streets.
Both Indians were sent to the immigration department to carry out the procedure.
