Korean* Engineer Busted With Meth In GSM

 

Phnom Penh: A man who claimed to be a Japanese* design engineer was detained by Daun Penh police force with two packets of drugs on his person. *Was really Korean.

The arrest was made at 10 am on the 24th of July 2019, in Golden Sorya Mall Street 51, Sangkat Phsar Thmey Thmey, Khan Daun Penh.

Daun Penh Inspectorate of Drug Control, said that suspect was YUICHI HATAMURA, male, a 38 -year-old Japanese.

The police officer said that before the arrest, the suspect was spoted acting suspiciously and appeared to be hiding drugs on his body. He was taken to the station and searched where the two packets of methamphetamine were discovered.

Police are now preparing the case to be sent to court. SOURCE

  1. He is not a Japanese. According to Japanese embassy, he doesn’t have Japanese passport and cannot speak Japanese at all. But he had a S. Korean passport with the name of “KANG JU SUNG.” It’s a fake news…

    1. It’s not exactly ‘fake news’when the guy said he was Japanese to the cops, who then told the news that he was Japanese, because that’s what they believed to be the case. Please refer to what fake news is in the future before throwing that term about.

  2. Please correct the article saying that this was in fact a Korean pretending to a be a Japanese.
    This is a common practice carried out by Korean people when they get caught in a foreign country.
