Violent Husband Sets Wife On Fire
Kampong Cham: A case of domestic violence on 16 July 2019, in Kampong Siem district, Kampong Cham, saw Chan Thoeuy, a 35-year-old Khmer husband setting fire to his wife with gasoline. The victim survived the attack, but was left with burns across much of her body.
The source said that the couple fight almost every day, and are often drunk.
Police said that after receiving the information, officers of Kampong Siem district went to the scene, investigate and detained the suspect. The victim was sent to hospital in Kampong Cham province and was later transferred to Phnom Penh.
