49 Sex Workers Swept Out of Wat Phnom

 

Phnom Penh: Daun Penh police rounded up prostitutes who solicit on the streets and under the trees around the historic site of Wat Phnom.

Following the stringent orders of Mr. Sok Penh Vuth, Governor of Daun Penh district, the Daun Penh Adminstration Unit, in cooperation with forces of the Wat Phnom commune Unity Command, had a week long crackdown, citing street safety and degradation of Cambodian women.

A total of 49 prostitutes, 37 women and 12 men/ladyboys were sent for education. https://postnews.com.kh/local/462337
