Soldier Dies in Kampong Chhnang Land Eviction

Kampong Chhnang: On 11 July 2019, at about 3 pm, a soldier died arguing with people occupying land in the area.

The incident occurred, Kum Kok Village, Sre Thmey Commune, Rolea B’ler District, Kampong Chhnang Province.

The army K88 unit said the land belonged to the state, while the people claimed that it had been occupied since 1982.

As he was arguing fiercely, the unnamed soldier suddenly had a seizure and collapsed. He was taken to hospital, the report said, but had died.
