UPDATE: Police Presence on Shooting Anniversary

Phnom Penh: Police and UN representatives are currently standing watch after former friends and students of murdered activist Dr Kem Ley announced they will mark the third anniversary of his death by honouring him at the gas station where he was gunned down.

City Hall have warned people not to gather outside the Caltex Station on Monivong/Mao Tse Tung, where the shooting took place on 10 July 2016.

UPDATE: According to kohsantepheap, 3 people were arrested for ‘incitement’ after attempting to hold a vigil.
