Kampong Thom Soda Factory Shut

Kompong Thom: A factory producing fake soft drinks has been closed down by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and police force at around 11:30 am on July 10, 2019, is in Sangkat Prey Sdol, Stung Sen City, Kompong Thom Province.

The authorities have examined various types drinks, which were suspected to have been made using substandard production, causing harm to health. The LP brand is widely distributed in Kampong Thom province. Siem Reap, Preah Vihear and some other provinces.

Due to unhygienic practices and the use of chemicals in the production, the site was closed and evidence taken to Kampong Thom police station.

The factory was closed by prosecutor Ith Sophea, and the owner (reportedly an influential businessman) taken for questioning. https://kbn.news/archives/127956
