Schools To Stop Unhealthy Food Sales
According to a notice issued by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, all Cambodian schools must stop selling on campus.
The ban includes energy drinks, soft drinks such as cola, candy, sweet desserts, coffee, processed foods of unknown origin and expired foodstuffs.
How the ban will be enforced or regulated and penalties for breaking the rules are not yet clear.
Mass outbreaks of food poisoning are not uncommon in Cambodian schools.
