Chinese Become Cambodian
Phnom Penh: 11 foreigners, including Chinese nationals (*source headline suggests all, but not 100% clear), have been sworn in as Khmer nationals after the King has given a royal decree to prepare the oath before the Supreme Court.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Cambodia on the afternoon of July 8, 2019, presided over by Dr. Chiv Keng, President of the Council of Swearing and Vice-President of the Supreme Court.
The 11 are now officially Khmer citizens from today.
