Bystander Shot in Buttocks During Daylight Argument

Phnom Penh: A gunman on a motorbike shot a man in the buttocks in broad daylight.

The incident took place at 11:00 AM on July 4, 2019 in Group 13, Borey Sinoei, Street 36, Russey I Village, Steung Mean Chey 3, Khan Mean Chey, Phnom Penh.

Sources said that the injured victim was called Noeurn, a 48-year-old man.

He appears to have been an innocent bystander who was working at the scene when an argument broke out between a group of people. A pistol was fired and the bullet ricocheted, hitting the victim, who was about 30m away. The bullet passed through his buttocks and exited through his groin.

Those involved then rode off on motorbikes, leaving the injured man to be taken to Russian Hospital.

Police are currently investigating.
