UPDATE: UK Man Richard Owen Dies in ‘The Pub’
UPDATE: A British man named Richard Anthony Owen, aged 54, has been named as the foreigner who died in The Pub. The man had walked into the bar and began feeling dizzy and out of breath. The owner called an ambulance, but he died before it arrived.
The official cause of death was given as k’jal, which literally means wind/dizziness/fainting, but can also mean sudden death (heart attack/stroke etc).
Phnom Penh: Breaking News: At 4:40 pm on July 2, 2019, a man suddenly died at The Pub, Street 174, Phsar Thmei, Khan Daun Penh.
Police have now arrived and are making an investigation.
The victim has been named locally as from the UK.
