Nepalese Man Without Passport for 7 Years

Siem Reap: Provincial immigration police detained a Nepalese man for illegally residence (no passport).

The arrests took place at 09:30 am on June 28, 2019 in the village of Preh Samnor village, Khum Samneng, Angkor Thom district. Siem Reap.

Senior police in Siem Reap said that the Office of Investigation and Procedure received the foreigner, SUNIL LO male, born in 1973, from Nepal does not have a passport and lived with his wife in Angkor Thom district, Siem Reap province.

According to the inquiry, this foreigner came to the Kingdom of Cambodia on January 26, 2012 by the border of Banteay Mean Chey in Banteay Meanchey with his wife, Koy Kuoem, (not legally married). They have two daughters ( 5 years old – 3 years old). He worked as a construction labourer, and sometimes used a fake (or stolen?) passport to work in Thailand.

His Nepalese passport expired in 2012 after he entered from Thailand via Malaysia. He then threw the passport away.

He was sent to the Removal Center in Siem Reap.
