Russian-Israeli Dies in Siem Reap

Siem Reap: According to a report from the city of Siem Reap, there has been a reported case of a Russian born Israeli citizen who died after experiencing what are described as gastric problems for more than a month.

The death occurred around 6 pm on June 23, 2019 in Siem Reap Referral Hospital, located in Mondul 1 Village, Svay Dangkum Commune, Siem Reap Province.

Police said that the body of the victim, DMYTRO OKUNIEV, 54, had been living in a rented house in Banteay Chay village, Svay Dangkam district, Siem Reap province.

Witnesses said that the victim had been ill and had been admitted to a referral hospital at 12:00 am on June 21, 2019, but the situation was so bad that he passed away on June 23, 2019.

An unspecified chronic disease was given as cause of death.

The body was taken to the Cambodian-Soviet Hospital, Phnom Penh, to wait for the man’s family.
