Infamous Tycoon Sok Bun Pulled in by ACU

Phnom Penh: On the morning of June 24, 2019, the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) arrested six people and took them to the Phnom Penh Court of First Instance.

Oknha Sok Bun, who was sentenced to 3 years imprisonment (10 months inside and the rest suspended) in 2016 over a vicious assault on a female TV personality in a Phnom Penh nightclub in 2015.

Details are scant, but the real estate mogul and the other 5 are believed to be facing fraud charges involving land sales in Sihanoukville.
