Roadside Butchers Caught Blood-Red Handed

Svay Rieng: On June 19, 2019, two suspects were detained by police on patrol about 500 meters from the village
of Tuol Prey Pong, Kampong Rou District, Svay Rieng Province.

The police patrolling the area at night found the two suspects hastily carving up a brown cow in the darkness, and were detained immediately for questioning.

The suspects; Nhim Jenna, a 39-year farm worker, and Oeurn Kork, a 25-year-old man both confessed to stealing the cow before beginning to butcher the beast.

Both suspects were charged by the police and will soon be up before the court.
