Porsenchey Sword Smithery Shut

Phnom Penh: Por Senchey District police visited a place producing samurai swords, swords and knives and temporarily closing it down.

The operation was conducted at 10 am on June 15, 2019 at a sword-making enterprise in Chamkar Ovalek 2, Kakap 2 commune, Khan Por Senchey.

Police said that local people had reported the location, so they went to check and found hundreds of swords of all kinds.

According to the production workers, these sword knives were manufactured and exported abroad.

However, authorities say the business was not known to authorities, so they confiscated hundreds of knives and swords to be temporarily stored pending further inquiries.
