Cow in a Bag Rustlers Rumbled

Pailin: Suspicious villagers challenged two men on a motorcycle carrying a rather large sack at 1:30 pm on June 13, 2019 in Stung Sang commune, Sala Krao district.

When challenged, the pair dropped the bag and drove off. Inside the sack was a calf weighing 40-50 kg, which died (unclear whether before or after being put in the sack).

The area saw a spate of cow thefts in 2018, and owners are warned to be vigilant. The cow corpse was collected with a tractor and returned to the owner.
