Phnom Penh: On June 12, 2019, 28 Chinese nationals were arrested in Cambodia after crossing the border illegally.
Police and the court inspected a construction site along Sisowath/corner of Street 100, in Sangkat Wat Phnom Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.
A total of 40 workers, including 5 women were questioned. 28 Chinese nationals had a passport but no work permit and 9 Chinese nationals were without a passport and suspected of illegally entering Cambodia.
They were taken to the immigration department to follow up with dentention and deportation and the others without a work permit were questioned for legal action.
