Cambodia Claim Late Victory Over Pakistan (Video)

The Qatar World Cup qualifiers in 2022 started the first round in Asia on June 6, with 6 matches; Mongolia v Brunei, Macau v Sri Lanka, Laos vs Bangladesh, Malaysia v Timor-Leste, Cambodia v Pakistan and Bhutan v Koh Kwan.

In the first round match, the first leg on Thursday, 6 June, Cambodia beat Pakistan 2-0, the first major win under Keisuke Honda, bringing a lot of enthusiasm from Cambodian football lovers.

Chanthea Sieng opened the scoring in the 81st minute, followed by a second from Kouch Sokumpheak 3 minutes later.

Pakistan is undoubtedly suffering in their attempt to win its first World Cup qualifier in 30 years, failing again.

According to FIFA’s official website, Pakistan has not won in 30 consecutive World Cup qualifying matches, the last being in January 1989. and currently rank 200, while Cambodia are 173.

The second leg will be played at the Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha, Qatar on June 11.
