Phnom Penh: Police detained a woman suspected of stealing a motorcycle on June 5, 2019.
Police say the suspect has been named as Chea Sovanna, 25, a Khmer national.
The victim, 21-year-old Sun Chhey, lost her Zoomer X on May 23, 2019, after she and her boyfriend came from the Kandal Market to her house on Street 154, Village 6, Sangkat Phsar Thmey.
At 7 am the next morning, the boyfriend of the victim woke up to take the motorbike to work, finding it gone and the door open.
The victim immediately asked the landlord, who checked the security camera at the neighbor’s house and saw four suspects (male 3 and a woman), including suspect Chea Sovanna, and filed a complaint with the police.
Police investigated, and on June 5, 2019 at 8 am saw the suspect in front of Golden Sorya Mall Street, Street 51, Sangkat Phsar Thmei III, Khan Daun Penh.
She was detained and questioned at Phsar Thmey 3 police station.
