iPad Cop Will Face Prosecution

Phnom Penh: The Municipal Court deputy prosecutor Plong Sophal on June 5, decided to charge police officer Heng Heb on charges of stealing an ipad under Articles 353 and 356 of the Penal Code.

The case has now been sent to the investigating judge and the accused accused officer has been released on supervised bail until a trial date is fixed.

The speedy decision of the court today came after National Police Chief General Neth Savoeun ordered the police to prepare the case for the court to take legal action after negative reactions on Facebook when the officer was let off with a warning.
