SHK Murder Reenactment Cancelled

Sihanoukville: On June 3, 2019, Preah Sihanouk provincial police commissioner Chuon Narin confirmed to the media that the final decision of the National Police Commission was not to hold a reenactment with the suspect who has confessed to killing two children in Prey Nub.

There were safety concerns after several hundred people arrived at the murder scene and fears the crowd could get angry and attack the suspect.

26-year-old Meng Vichet, told the police he was drunk and on drugs when he killed the young boy and raped the 10 year old girl, who died later in hospital.
