Drunk Driving Runaway Traffic Cop Goes to Court

PHNOM PENH: A high ranking traffic police officer, named as Ly Leang Chheng, who crashed into two motorbikes, killing one man injuring another, was sent to court on June 1, 2019. The victim’s families are also demanding compensation from the officer.

The incident occurred on the night of 29 May 2019 on Street 1019, Sangkat Phnom Penh Thmei, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.

After the incident, the police officer, who at first fled the scene, handed himself in.

After questioning, the case was sent to the Phnom Penh Court of First Instance for further legal action.
