Chinese Arrested With $855k At Airport

PHNOM PENH: At 15:10 on May 29th, 2019, officials at Phnom Penh International Airport stopped a Chinese man Liao JINGQING,47 with a bag containing $ 855,000 in cash. The man had landed on a flight from Hong Kong to Cambodia

The suspect confessed to having entered Cambodia two times, aiming to bring money to Cambodia to invest with family member LIAO YUPENG, but did not know the name of the company.

The suspect is being questioned further and the cash has been taken as evidence.

In April three Chinese men were detained after bringing in over $3 million from China.
