Kep Province: The former royal palace on a hill next to the coast of Kep is currently being repaired. Scrub is being cleared, old roads rebuilt and flowers are being planted to make it look beautiful.
However, many monkeys have also taken a liking to the king’s old palace, and workers are finding ways to prevent the primates from getting in the compound.
According to officials, the royal residence was built in 1962 on the hillside along the coast of Kep and monkeys are hampering renovation work, especially in the garden, where they keep ripping up the newly planted flowers.
Builders have put up a fence to try and keep the meddlesome primates out, but with little success. https://kohsantepheapdaily.com.kh/article/846116.html
