Phnom Penh: A spokesman for the Ministry of Youth, Education and sport has requested that higher education institutes set up a prayer room for Muslim students.
Ros Sothea said that some 125 state and private institutes and universities across the country should allocate a worship room in order to encourage Muslims to continue their studies., especially female students.
The Ministry of Health has already opened such prayer rooms in hospitals including Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, Ang Duong Hospital and School of Medical Care.
