Arrested A Month After Mondulkiri Shooting

Mondulkiri: An arrest has been made almost a month after a man was shot dead during Khmer New Year.

According to a police report released on May 12, 2019, the criminal police force of Kampong Chhnang cooperated with Keo Seima district police inspector, arrested the suspect in Kampong Chhnang.

The suspect was identified as Nang Mao, a 42-year-old man.

Suspect said he shot Myuch Phous, a 39-year-old Phnong farmer and father of seven children because of a land disputes and accused the victim of sorcery.

An automatic rifle was also recovered by police, who are still hunting one more person involved with the killing. http://tdnewsasia.com/archives/55279
