Roof Collapse Injures 3

Phnom Penh: At 1:40 pm on May 10, 2019, strong winds blew down the roof of a building onto three people, causing serious injuries and damage to vehicles. The incident occurred in Peam Village, Prey Sar Commune, Dangkor District, Phnom Penh.

The under construction factory building is 2,970 square meters in length, (33 meters wide and 90 meters in length), belonging to Ung Bun Peng.


The three victims were named Eng Thy, a 33-year-old man, Long, a 45-year-old male, construction worker, and third not yet identified.

The three victims were sent to Russian hospital.

Police said that before the incident, most construction workers were not allowed to return to work as a storm approached, and only 3 workers were in the building.

Shortly thereafter, with the wind blowing strongly, the roof came down, injuring the men left inside. https://postnews.com.kh/local/439685
