A Cambodian woman has allegedly been caught traveling 152 kilometres an hour in an 80 zone with a passenger asleep in the boot.
A woman was found sleeping in the boot of a four-wheel drive after police pulled over the driver who was allegedly doing 152km/h in an 80 zone – one of several cases of “stupidity on the roads”.
Police say the driver – a 29-year-old Cambodian national – was caught on Friday evening at Tomerong, south of Nowra in New South Wales.
“While speaking to the driver a second woman was located sleeping in the boot,” a police spokesperson said in a statement on Saturday.
The Cambodian national was fined for driving with a passenger in the boot and exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h.
She was banned from driving in NSW for six months.
