Poi Pet/Aranyaprathet International Border Crossing is Temporarily Closed on 21 & 22 of April
PoiPet/ Aranyaprathet: The International Border Gate Police issued a statement that the Aranyaprathet/Poi Pet border will be temporarily closed from 10 pm April 21, 2019 onwards. It’s expected to open again at April 22nd.
Is this satire? This border crossing closes at 10pm every night and reopens at 6am the following morning.
Never have I heard of any border crossing closing during normal opening hours for any reason.
Well done John for picking up on a story from April. It was because both leaders of Thailand and Cambodia were meeting in a symbolic gesture to cross the border after the first train link between the countries was repaired after the damage from the war.
