Poipet: The Ministry of Public Works and Transport on April 19 announced that the four trains from the Royal Thai Government to Cambodia were sent to Poipet Station on April 19, 2019 to test and check the technical specifications before the Prime Ministers of the two countries ride a train from the Thai station to Poipet station on the morning of April 22 2019. Please note that this train has 4 cabins and can accommodate 320 passengers.
On April 22, 2019, the Royal Government of Cambodia has agreed to organize a ceremony presided over by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Gen. Prayuth Chan-ocha Prime Minister of Thailand. The key items on the agenda are as follows:
1. The connection links between Cambodia and Thailand.
2. The groundbreaking ceremony of the building of international border gates and the road connecting to Route 5
3. The signing of a joint operating agreement on railway transport crossing the border between Cambodia and Thailand and the handover ceremony of the locomotives (DMU) of the Royal Government of Cambodia to the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
4. The Prime Ministers of the two countries riding the train together across the border.
