Twelve Vietnamese Loggers Caught in Virachey Park

Ratanakiri province: Police detained twelve Vietnamese and six machines on April 16, 2019.

The Royal Gendarmerie forces handed over the dozen Vietnamese nationals to the immigration police department of Ratanakiri, after cooperation between local police and the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Rattanakiri in Virachey Ratanakiri National Park.

According to the police, the twelve Vietnamese nationals and six machines came across the border illegally through the forest to log in the protected park.
