Vietnamese Moto Dop Threatens Border Guards With Hatchet
Kratie: Officials at the Trapeang Srok international border checkpoint on April 11, 2019 detained a Vietnamese national who was involved in a dispute with customs officials.
According to authorities, the Vietnamese man, named Minh Chanh, 32-year-old resident of Son Thanh commune, Son La district, Dong Nai province, Vietnam, runs a motorbike taxi in the border area.
After a disagreement with border guards, the man pulled out an ax and threatened violence.
At 1:00 pm on the same day, the Vietnamese Defense Ministry 801 requested coordination. After a letter was sent from across the border, police allowed him to return to Vietnam.
