Alleged Illegal Fisherman Has Boat Burned
Kampong Chhnang: A fishing boat was torched on April 2, 2019 after the owners went to eat.
The boat and nets that reported to belong to ethnic Vietnamese.
The owner of the boat is said to fish every night, allegedly with illegal methods. Net fisherman are concerned that it affects the livelihoods of people living in the area, which made them angry and caused them burned the boat and the nets.
Authorities say that they do not support any illegal action, even if the supposed victim is exploiting the law in the area of conservation.
