New Year Rules Laid Down
Phnom Penh: During the upcoming Khmer New Year, Phnom Penh Capital Hall will not allow water spraying, fireworks or gambling.
An announcement has called for people to avoid throwing water or powder at riders and passengers of motor vehicles on the street, which can lead to accidents.
The announcement of the Royal Government of Phnom Penh on April 1, 2019, also banned gambling games and all kinds of explosives.
The notice also calls for observance of traffic laws and not to drive in drunken state to avoid any accidents. It also calls for caution with candles, incense, stoves and electricity to avoid accidents and fires.
