Construction on the planned Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville express highway is set to commence on March 22.
Machines and equipment are all in place to begin work on the 190 km long road. The project is expected to take 4 years and cost around $2 billion.
Landowners, whose property sits in the way of the route have been promised generous compensation packages.
Around $100 million has already been invested in the construction equipment.
