Man Dies, 4 Year Old Injured in Bomb Blast
Tbong Khmom: An horrific incident occurred after a 125 mm shell exploded, causing the death of a man and serious injuries to a 4 year old boy.
The incident happened at 9:20 am on March 16, 2019, in Toul Peek Commune, Tbong Khmum Province.
Police said that the wartime UXO was being used by a 59-year-old man in his workshop. When the shell blew up, he was killed instantly. His 4-year-old grandson was seriously injured and was sent to hospital.
After the incident, authorities went down to question neighbours and check the scene for more munitions.
