Chinese on Chinese Robbery in SHK

Sihanoukville: At around 3 am on March 15, 2019, a Chinese woman was robbed in Village 2, Sangkat 4, Municipality, Sihanoukville.

Police said that the suspect seized the victim’s bag, along with another man. One escaped on a motorbike while the other fled on foot.

Police conducted an urgent investigation and managed to catch one of the thieves.

The arrested man, MA QING LAI, is a 46-year-old Chinese national. The one who escaped is another Chinese male named A BIAO.

The victim named WU ZHONGBING, a 30-year-old Chinese woman, works in Princess Hotel, Sihanoukville.

The victim was reunited with her bag and $1,875 inside.

On his arrest the suspect was also found to have a burglar’s toolkit inside his motorbike, with screwdrivers and a hammer.
